The Massachusetts cannabis repeal initiative would eliminate the Commonwealth’s licensed adult-use cannabis marketplace.

If approved, it would:

End licensed adult-use cannabis sales.
Eliminate adult-use home cultivation.
Preserve the state’s medical cannabis program.
Allow adults 21 and older to possess up to one ounce without penalty, provided no more than five grams is cannabis concentrate.
Establish a $100 civil penalty and forfeiture for possession of more than one ounce and up to two ounces by adults 21 and older.

In practical terms: adults who are not registered qualifying patients could legally possess a limited amount of cannabis but would no longer have access to licensed, regulated cannabis sales.
